Description
Fossil shark teeth "Lamna-Otodus" from Alnif, Morocco.
Our shark teeth measure 3.5-5cm long.
These teeth are 40 million years old and come from the extinct Lamna and Otodus shark species that lived from the Paleocene to the Miocene Period. When a shark loses a tooth while biting into something, another tooth from the second row will replace it within four minutes. Therefore, a shark will lose many teeth over his lifetime.
